Insurance?

Ok,

now im looking at getting the droid, so my dad's like "I dont know if i want you to get the droid. You cant get the insurance for smartphones, like breakage and what not.."

I don't know about you, but that sounded a little whack to me, so i asked my friend who has the droid and she said she does.

But just to be safe, i want to get the answer from my colleagues on these boards.

So, is the insurance available to all smart phones?

Actually, one other question.... my mother also said apparently Verizon charges you for connecting to wifi on your phone, i think this is false, but just wanna check.

Yes, insurance is available for the Droids. (all smartphones for that matter) I have it on mine, I think it's $6/month. There is no additional charge for wifi use, however I do believe that wifi data usage is counted against your total data usage.

Yes, you can get insurance.  I have it for my Droid.

No, on the Android platform, WiFi data usage is NOT counted against your total usage.  The Droid's require an unlimited data plan, regardless.
