I purchased the 'black leather' hard case from Verizon.com for the Eris

Has a nice feel to it, provides a bit of soft, yet hard cover.

I love these hard covers.  I had a clear one from Verizon for my LG Dare prior.  I droped that phone a few times on concrete, the case took the impact, spread it over the phone, and popped off.

Could ask for better protection!

i do like leather cases on phones in general instead of the cheap plastic. I've had about 2 plastic clip cases fall on the hard floors and it just broke. No longer usable.
