Hi bbbacb, that can be quite a concern with not getting text messages on your Galaxy S5 device. Let's see what's going on so your device can get those important messages. Are you using a stock app or a 3rd party app to get messages? Are you able to get calls? Can you send messages? How about trying to power cycle your device off for a minute and back on.
