I really do.. I will not let Verizon just leave customers in the dust.  I bought a brand NEW device on launch day.  March 2 and now, we hear that they can't get the update to ICS (like I was promised in store) and their won't be a jelly bean update either.  I know some people can afford to buy lots of gear, but I can't!  There was supposed to be a android alliance that says devices would be covered for 18 months.  Not a single word from Verizon, for months.

I'm sure that since your the market leader you can choose to ignore your customers and I can choose to ignore my bill!

Go ahead and don't pay your bill then your service will get cut off and that will be reported to a credit agency which will hurt your credit.

exactly which phone get you get on March 2nd? Honestly you sound like a 5 year old that didn't get the "correct" flavor of lollipop.

LG Spectrum owners, like myself, waited forever for the upgrade to ICS. It was promised to come out the first quarter of this year. Sure! We finally received it a few days ago. Most people, like myself, just waited patiently until it did come out.Some people ranted and raved about Verizon's lousy service. Just one thing wrong with that scenario, Verizon is only the carrier. They do not make OSs, It was up to Google and LG to get it out to the public.,

ah excuse me for jumping in here. LG released the update months ago to verizon and it was verizon that kept dragging their feet with pushing it out (as they are responsible to do) to the Spectrum owners.

Same for the Google updates that were again delayed due to verizon not pushing it out.

The simple premise here is the phones make calls and in a smart phone access the web and run web apps. Just sitting around whining about my phone doesn't have this update or that is totally ridiculous.

There never should be any promise of any so called up date in that then 90% of the whine posts will cease.

Now people are asking for Jelly Bean and Soda cracker or whatever its being called next. just use the phone and if you get an update be happy with it.

The poster has every right to complain. There's been a little too much advertising, hyping and underdelivering that is misleading, deceptive, and in the case of the Spectrum, it was illegal.

There needs to be a more appropriate update model put in place.

Oh how Google DID mislead everyone about an 18mo support model, how Motorola abandoned phones, how the carrier and other OEMs (like LG) advertised a key feature, like an update to ICS within a specific timeframe and blew it.

Yes VZW had the update (for months), and yes VZW held off releasing it to us.

No, I feel treated like a 5 year.  This company won't speak up or offer any updates as to why there still selling devices that they will not support.  Your right, I often do this to my children when they are nagging me, ignore them!

Having expectations, not met is anything but whinning!  If I enter into an agreement with any (what I call business partners) and not happy I move on.  I don't sit around hoping and wishing that the company honors what they say.

If you don't mind waiting allowing a company to treat you anyway, your a isheep.  I want the new os as I was promised.  Period. 

These are not sold or marketed as simple phones.  There should be a promise to update the phones accordingly.  I mean my gosh it took Verizon 2 months longer than any other carrier just to update the nexus.  Totally unacceptable.

Verizon is not just the carrier.  They prefer to lock the bootloaders, release updates months after other carriers ect.  And as such, have a large say in how this is handled.  And they are the worst at keeping their devices current.

Just like how Apple has removed the carrier from the update process, so does Android.

Futher more there is nothing worse than a company that would keep customers in the know, even if I don't like the message. 

I think that all of the responders are part of the problem and thus allowing Verizon to keep dragging its feet when update come out.

And I really don't think any of us buy these devices with the thought I don't care about the updates.
