I have a DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola and the pass several months if I get a text from an iPhone, I first get a text stating that it is downloading. It normally takes 3 minutes to 3 hours for it to download. Some times longer and several times it took over 24 hours. But at times the text is on the phone right away.  When I stopped in at a Verizon store they said it was because the iPhone under setting did not have the send as SMS checked.  All the ones that I could check that I receive texts from did have the setting checked correctly. Any ideas   Dennis

  dennismanto, interesting post in that I have a friend that went on vacation to Hong Kong China for two weeks, in March, with a iPhone 4. And was able to send me sms, mms, and emails with video attachments via his iPhone to my Droid Maxx.

  I thought this amazing technology from half way around the world. With that said. I would think it would have to be the iPhone that is sending. How is that iPhone going about sending? It may not be even using a cellular network, and perhaps using some computer software to send the text, hence the delay?

The problem isw not with one iphone but from all iphones.  Most are part of the Verizon network and some are not.  Sometimes the same iphones I will get the text right away.  New info is that I sent a text with attachment from my phone to my phone and it took over 2 1/2 hours.  Does any one have any ideas?

Let's get you up and running with messages dennismanto. Are you using a third party application for text messages? Have you installed any new applications or software to your phone? When did this start happening?

I have this same problem.  Even after a full refresh of my phone at the Verizon store I still have the problem with some (not all) text messages.  I see "downloading", sometimes for hours.  I see this post was not answered by Verizon.  Can someone please explain how to fix this?
