I don't get a notification for text messages unless the specific text is open and can't find how to adjust it in the settings on my spectrum by LG

Hello cmzies21. I want to make sure that you get notifications every time you receive a message. In order to adjust your settings, please go to your message application. From the application please touch your menu icon (square inside a square) and select Settings. Scroll to Notification settings and from here you can check notifications and also adjust the tone.
