Tethering/HotSpot works when I put my Sim in my S4. So it should work in my
S5.
There is no way for a carrier to know if im sharing my connection or not.
Verizon knows because the version of android im running is modified by
verizon. This modification makes the phone check with Verizon if I have a
tethering plan on my account or not.
But since im not using Verizon. This modification causes the hotspot to
fail when I try enabling it.
So in a nutshell, I cant use hotspot because my phone is running a version
of android which has been modified by verizon.
Hotspot works in my S4 because its is an international version, hence no
carrier specific modification done to it so no restrictions on enabling
hospot.

Can your carrier (over there) completely erase your phone's android system and install their own version in or over it? Some can and some can not....

No they cant because Verizon locks the phone's bootloader to prevent you or
anyone else from installing a different android.
If it was, possible, I would have already installed the international s5
android version my self which is available for download at samfirmware.com
to get rid of verizon's modification

if i didn't use verizon, i wouldn't buy a verizon phone. if i were you, i'd return it (if you still can) or sell it and get a different version.

Yes. But I was in USA and I looked in every shop for an international
version of the S5 but i couldn't find so I decided Ill just buy a Verizon
unlocked version. I thought it would be an equivalent of an international
with some Verizon branding. I didn't know they will restrict you like this,
even on unlocked version
