By wireless network do you mean WiFi? Because you can't make calls over that. Texts are so small that they will go through with a very brief connection, whereas phone calls need a consistent connection.

I have a casio GZone commando. No not WIFI (though that works too), I mean my wireless signal that I use my data usage on and get charged for if I go over some amount. I can be standing right next to a cell tower and can send texts but wont let me call. This has happened once before and the guy at the Verizon store said my settings were set wrong and fixed. I went to the same store again to get it fixed again and this time a different guy tries to sell me a new phone. "Phone must be broken." I can send and receive texts but cant make phone calls so I got to buy a new phone? If that is what it takes, Hello T-Mobile.

I hate to say he's right, but if you've gone in to check your network settings and still can't make calls, it may be time for a new phone. That phone was manufactured in 2010-2011 and a lot has changed since then. Plus if it's been in constant use for 5 years I'd say you got your moneys worth.

That’s a very odd situation Arthur1981 and Im delighted you have brought this to our attention. What’s the zipcode you are currently in? We’d love to look into this for you to ensure its not a coverage issue but if it is the phone, it had a good run while it could! MiiHere did bring up a good point. We may need to get you into a phone that better fits your needs. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Verizon, I stopped by your store in Dallas, PA and was helped by Matt. After about 40 minutes in the store, I was told that this was a Verizon issue and that a ticket had been opened to fix the problem. A tech was going to work on the problem and give me a call back on my home phone when it was fixed. Also, why does everyone think that it was a phone problem. It was bought brand new from the store in Dallas, PA in March 2014. It was not a phone issue. When I do get a new phone, I am going back to the flip phone.

Hello I'm having some issues with My Verizon account as well I purchased a phone in September 2014 and I cannot call or text in my house Verizon has been giving me the run around with my legitimate issues with their service .I have enjoyed told several things but nothing is being done to resolve my issues but they expect me to pay my bill every month. So they issued me a replacement phone only to find out
it's not the phone it is a tower issue or network issue but they want to charge me for a network booster. I should not have to pay for extra equipment to bring my service up .they should have known it was not compatible in my area. So they also think I should pay $350 to get out my contract to go with another provider. I just want service I'm going to contact BBB (BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU ) I should not be without service if I'm paying for service that's not working I'm very frustrated .REALLY
