Seriously what is up with this? I have a bunch of junk bookmarks at the top of my bookmarks list that has been added to my new Galaxy Note 2 by Verizon. What makes me so upset is that Verizon has decided I should have no choice but to stare at and not be able to delete any of their junk bookmarks. First they tattoo the phone's tiny home button with their logo and that is fine but seriously what is up with this control freak nonsense? This is MY phone and the bookmarks are MY bookmarks. Why am I forced by Verizon to have their junk bookmarks with no way to delete them?
I pay so much money to Verizon for my multiple lines. I could save money by switching to just about any other carrier. Why does Verizon insist on making being a paying customer as miserable as possible by shoving this nonsense down my throat?
If anyone knows of a way to delete the first 3 junk bookmarks that Verizon has placed on my Galaxy Note 2, please let me know.
I'm really getting sick of this nonsense. Who gets paid to come up with ways to infuriate customers for no reason?

If you would be happier with another carrier AND save money by doing so, the question becomes WHY didn't you switch instead of getting the GNII from Verizon????? I am assuming you are still within your 14 day return window. It is not too late.

I agree that this kind of thing is annoying, but it's not limited to this device or to Verizon. As mdram4x4 says, the carriers consider this a reasonable way of lowering the prices of the phones (because they get paid by app makers to put the stupid apps on the phone). A whole bunch of users disagree with them, but it's been a long time since large businesses cared much about what customers think or want.
On the Note 2, is there a way to create a folder on the screen with the unwanted bookmarks and move them into the folder? That way you could at least corral them someplace out of sight.

There is at least one app on Google Play that handles this problem. I am unable to mention the app, all I can say is search around.

I did as Dave in Decatur did: created a folder named "Crap" and push all the stuff I don't want to use in there. Unfortunately you cannot delete them. For example, I don't want NFL Mobile on my phone, cannot get rid of it, it still updates itself once in a while, using my power and data plan, but oh well what can I do. At least it's out of sight, out of mind.

Clear the cache and disable it.

Yeah, I cleared the cache, but how do you disable it? I did the "force stop", is that what you meant?
