I have done a factory reset 3 times tonight using Kies, SmartSwitch and now I am restoring using Kies again. I had to do this several months ago and doing the factory reset got rid of the 5+ gigs of files but now it is not doing anything. Before I did the restore this last time I checked the storage and there was 5.46G being used under the miscellaneous files. I thought it might be all the preloaded programs so I deleted a bunch but it didn't make any difference, still have 5.46G being used up. How do I get rid of this [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] ?
Reboot the phone and check the usage again. Maybe it computes the usage at boot time... ? Good luck.
