How do I file a complaint with Verizon Wireless customer Service?

This has been the most frustrating ordeal! I have a note 2 that I purchased when I signed up with Verizon in September of 2013. The dreaded head phone jack issue surfaced a few months ago (common with samsung phones). Instead of replacing the same old phone I decided to do the early edge program and just get a new phone. I was turned down for the early edge because my screen has a crack in it, even though it does not hinder operation of the phone. I then called technical services to get my headphone jack replaced because I cant use my headphones or aux output. I was told that the warranty on the phone was void because the screen was cracked, even though that has nothing to do with headphone jack being faulty. So basically now I am stuck with a broken phone for a few months, with the only option being paying insurance deductible to get a phone that I will only use for a few months. None of the sales associates or tech's I spoke with were willing to help me in anyway. I switched to Verizon from Sprint because of the customer service and now I am thinking of switching back!

Thanks

You're a rare person to switch because of customer service. Usually people come to Verizon for coverage, especially when you come from a place like Sprint.

Have you looked into replacing the headphone jack yourself? What phone do you have? How much is your deductibe? You'll get a refurbished, but hopefully working device which if your contract is up in a few months you can sell for hopefully more than your deductible was and make more than you would have on a phone with a crack in the screen. Seems like a decent option to me. It's like when your car gets totaled and it was a [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] to start with, but they pay you market value and it's more than you would have got if you sold it.

Its a Samsung Note 2. I do not have the know how to replace the jack myself. My deductible is $100 . I wont be able to sell it for much more than what I have in the deductible if I did the insurance claim and waited until September t upgrade. This has been so absolutely frustrating for me it looks like I will be going back to Sprint or AT&T. It is very troublesome when you are trying to give a company money and sign another contract with them but they will not let you slide on a few months to sign another contract!

You will have the same issues at any other carrier.

filing a complaint about what?   Following the rules and policies?   They did what they have to do.

You have to trade in a phone in excellent condition if you want to upgrade early.  ATT doesn't allow early upgrades and is really pushing the financing program.   Sprint will lease you a phone, requires insurance and you can't give it back broken.

Before the headphone jack problem, how was the phone working?  Great?  So use insurance to get both screen and Jack repaired and keep the phone.  In September when you contract is up, call and ask for the out of contract discount.   The Note 5 comes out in the fall.  By Black Friday there will be a promo of some kind.

BTW.   Chances are they won't have any Note 2 lying around and will send you a refurbished Note 3

One of the conditions of doing the "early edge" is that your current device must be in good working order and free of physical damage (and water damage). You want to file a complaint simply because you do not meet the requirements to do an early edge?

Actually, the replacements for the phones are Certified Like New Replacements (CLNR). They're not refurbished phones, They're actually devices that have been taken out of the box then tested by the Verizon 50 Point Checklist.
