How do I change my email view to show full messages?

Help I can't find the setting to change email view.  Currently displays only subject line.  Please help this poor lame guy!

If you tap the email in the list, it should open up the full email - are you using the GMail app or another email app? Each one is a bit different, but most list the sender and subject, then you tap to see the full content.
