How delete Yahoo e-mails from Spectrum II

I receive all my e-mails from Yahoo on my Spectrum II but I can't delete them when I'm finished reading them.  If I delete them on my computer, they still show on my Spectrum II.  I suspect it's got something to do with syncing, but I don't know where to go from here.  When I tap the trash can to delete the e-mail, I get the message "failed to delete".  Anyone??

Good evening, John3697- Lets show that email who's boss!  I recommend we first try removing and readding the email account to the device. This will reconfigure the email sync settings.
