I it a real thing about to happen....I been asking myself how can Verizon honk this one up and put out something that not suppose to happen. They need to get to it and release the beast. We have been waiting along time.

Well it looks like it's finally offical and I won't have to jump ship to sprint afterall. If the last few days have been any indication that the Merge will finally come to verizon. This one should definitely seal it's fate. Or at least I hope it does.

The HTC Merge shows up in the Verizon's new android lineup. :smileyhappy:

I hope all the evidence is correct, not just showing that Verizon lack of fuction. I made calls to Verizon, they are acting like they know nothing about the HTC Merge and maybe they my not be kidding. Sprint has good phones but the service seems not to be all that hot. They say they have improved the coverage. We may have that change if Verizon drops the ball. The bar form factor guys do not understand our conversation or have need for the real keyboard. That because they like what they are using. I still think that Verizon marketing department is producing a marketing campaign to supply Bar from factor. Maybe they have a better profit margin or they just look better. This form design take a lot of power. The one main draw back is that people want thin phones meaning little batteries.

Sprint's service is great, and just as reliable as VzW's... in their coverage areas. their footprint is very noticeably smaller and doesn't cover large portions of many states. They definitely cater to those of us who prefer physical keys more than the other three though.

The life and times of the HTC Merge has changed again. Supposedly available today from third party distributors.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

This is the type of smartphone I have been waiting for.

Pros: Design, physical kbyd, HTC sense and rotating home screens, FM Radio, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, 5MP camera, 720p HD video

Cons: Bling - but who cares I plan on rooting the phone and I can download Google maps and GPS until then.

What I don't need: a front facing camera or 4g - sure 4g would be nice but it's not a deal breaker for me.

It's about TIME VZW put out a smartphone with a physical kybd than the Motorola series with their crappy physical kybds.
