So the other line on my account that I am stealing the upgrade from in order to pre-order the S5 got an automated call yesterday asking for me to call in regards to the recent phone order. It didn't give any specific information and when I called not 10 minutes later, the person on the phone said he had no record of anyone calling any of my lines... any thoughts? happen to anyone else?

Unfortunately sales is different than customer service. It is a known fact that Verizon's left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
In that message you received the correct department phone number I would hope would be given however I highly doubt it.
Usually if you received the confirming email there is a number to call. Try that number.
