Galaxy S5 GPS Data Usage

I recently misplaced my Garmin, so I opted to use Google Maps on my S5.  The GPS worked flawlessly and I love Google's integration with Google Maps.  Just curious about a couple things...

- Since the phone has a GPS chip, how much data is typically used?

- If you set your location to "GPS Only" wouldn't that eliminate data usage for the Google Maps app?

I am so glad that you are happy with Google Maps! This app does use data but typically not very much. You can certainly set your location to GPS only which will help conserve on data. Here is a link that will give you more information about how much data various functions would use http://spr.ly/6-1423qY calculator - tablet:TopOnly  BryanS_VZW  Follow us on Twitter @VZWSupport If my response answered your question please click the "Correct Answer" button under my response.
