Galaxy S / Fascinate - Will It Share the GPS Issues?

I know everyone is curious about the release date for the Fascinate and wants it released yesterday, but I am wondering if the delay will work out in our favor.

 

Does anyone know if Verizon is pressuring Samsung to investigate/fix the GPS issues that are plaguing the Vibrant and Captivate (as well as the European Galaxy S devices, apparently) before releasing the VZW version?

Looks like there may be a fix coming in September, so it may be a moot point anyway...

I certainly hope that with the delay there are no GPS issues in the Fascinate. Its still unclear if the GPS issue is a purely software problem or if there are hardware issues.

 

I would also hope that with the delay it launches with 2.2. However its now rumored to be delayed until mid-late Oct, and that is getting close to Gingerbread territory.
