Factory Reset caused Google Play to go missing

Hello,

I was having, what seems to be typical, problems with my Droid Charge and decided to try doing a Factory Reset on the phone. When the phone finished and turned back on, the Google Play store app was gone. I tried to download a apk of it from a site, but when trying to install that, it says that I don't have enough space. So I tried the factory reset again. Still no Google Play app.

After the second factory reset, I brought the phone into a Verizon Store and they were just as lost as I was. They recommended that I buy a new phone since they have not clue what is happening. I would love to buy a new phone but that just isn't an option right now.

Has anyone else run into this issue or have any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks,

Zach

Was there a "Market" app installed? You might have to look in the settings > applications > manage applications > all tab

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
