Eris battery full indicator when phone is powered off?

Kind of a dumb question but I wasn't paying attention when I first plugged in my phone so I didn't see what the battery charging light looks like.  Right now it is solid red so does that mean it is ready to be booted for the first time or is that the color for still charging?  Thanks.

Red = Charging

Green = Full Charge

Oh weird.  Well I left it charging for like 12 hours and the light was still red, I figured it had to be done so unplugged it but didn't have time to setup the phone yet.  After reading your post I replugged it in and after like 2 minutes the light turned green.  Guess something must have been up with the sensor.
