Eris Buggy After 2.1 OTA Update

My HTC Droid Eris is experiencing the following since the 2.1 OTA update:

1. Intermittent loss of alert tones for notifications
2. screen locks up and I have to remove the battery and replace just to get back into my phone (happened 3 times today)
3. Slower
4. Lags when I attempt to place an outgoing call or answer an incoming call

What, if anything can I do to remedy these situations?

Make a backup of all your contacts and calendar with google . You can back up most of your apps using Astro File manager ( there are some apps that can't be backed up such as Dailystrip, Hotel finder, pet care services)  .

go to settings, privacy and do  factory Data reset.... This worked for me when I had an issue with my phone.

After the reset..you will have redownload all your apps from the market place, and resynch your contacts, email and calendar wit google.

I have learned one important thing...keep your phone at least 50% free on the internal storage . It really tends to bog down with more apps.

You can use Quicksystems to keep your cache clean....and it keeps tab on your battery level and storage space ...
