Droid sync question

I may be upgrading to a droid and being new to smartphones I want to make sure I can sync my work calendar from my PC to the droid and vice versa.  I run a windows system and use Amicus attorney for my schedule.

Cam I also operate wordperfect fiels on the phone and sync with the PC ?  I do not intend at this time to sync from a remote location but syncing even by usb once back at the office would be fine.  Thanks for your help

Documents To Go "Premium Edition" (not ure on the price, check with dataviz) supports WP documents.

If you go with the Droid Eris, HTC's sync program will synchronize your Microsoft outlook contacts, calendars etc. with the phone.  If you go with the Motorola Droid, you will need a separate program like "The Missing Sync" to do this. (These are cable-sync options as you indicated.)

As to synchronizing calendar events with Amicus, unless Amicus is syncing with outlook calendar, It's probably not going to happen, unless Amicus creates an Android app.  If Amicus allows you to export your calendar/appointments to some sort of "standard" format such as a .csv file, you can export the file, then import that calendar file into your Gmail account, which would automatically synchronize with your phone's calendar.  You can export the calendar from Gmail, and re-import into Amicus (assuming Amicus allows that) but would not be an ideal sollution.  In that case, i would recommend only putting appointment in Amicus, export to .csv, and import into GMail...  Kind of a one-way sync...  OR start using Google's GMail calendar exclusivly, then you can add appointments either from the phone, or from GMail, and they will actually "Sync" both ways.
