Droid X vs. Droid Incredible

Which phone do you prefer? The Droid X has shown to have a smoother, more efficient, processor and much better battery life. But, some are turned off by it's size. It could also be said HTC Sense is better then Motoblur. It seems the Droid X is the better phone hardware wise, but with Sense the Incredible is a little more user friendly.

Did anyone who got the Incredible before X came out wish they had waited?

What are your opinions comparing the two phones?

i like senseUI and LOVE my inc. the X wasn't an option for me as i don't want a small tablet in my pocket. i believe it is superior though, as far as specs are concerned? you basically get a half inch larger screen and an hdmi output. as far as i can tell that is the only real difference in the two (besides of course, the interface).

I really wanted to get the X  for the 720p video and screen size but got tired of waiting for that so I went with the Incredible in hopes that the video would get a software upgrade to 720p....it did and now I want it(2.2)...I do love my Incredible, my iPhone was no where near as cool as this!

Go to phonescoop web site and look up both the phones. Read the specifications on each phone. I know the Droid X is a bigger phone and has a bigger screen. If it were my choice....I think i would go with the HTC Incredible. Why?  I am an HTC fan and find that HTC makes good quality phones. Plus I like how the Incredible is a smaller phone

Well the Incredible has a some 700MHz processor, which is really nothing to sneeze at. I've played with every Android phone to date and I can say that the Incredible definitely stands out.

One thing that you want to note though, is the manufacturer you're dealing with. From my experience Motorola are pretty lazy and dont' communicate very much about updates/problems. HTC takes the time to tweet/e-mail back about things. I also like the quality of HTC better than Motorola.

In my opinion Sense UI is miles better than BLUR could ever be.

Both have a 1GHz processor.  The Incredible has the 1GHz snapdragon and the Droid X has the 1GHz TI Omap 3630 and dedicated PowerVR GPU.  If you're into gaming, the Droid X is the better choice but most won't notice the benefit of the extra processing/gpu power of the X.  Even with the better processor and gpu, the smooth transitions and speed of SenseUI will make the Incredible look better.  Both are good devices and it really comes down to which form factor and user interface you prefer.  The Incredible has been noted for less than stellar battery life and the AMOLED screen is colorful but less visible in direct sunlight.  The larger screen on the X is nice but they didn't upgrade the resolution so text can appear grainy and has a more encumbering motorola overlay.

Another device that may be of interest is the upcoming Samsung Fascinate which should be out in the next week or so.  The processor/gpu are a step up from the Droid X and the 4" screen gives it a better form factor.  After playing with the Epic 4G today, I definitely think the Fascinate will give any device on the market a run for its money.

the biggest downfall to the incredible is horrible battery life.

All the android phones have poor battery life. It's not just the Incredible. There are ways to improve the battery life.  Get the extended battery for the phone & you'll have more juice

I've had my Droid X for about three weeks and can say that the video camera is amazing. The videos come out sharp and clear. I've used the "sport" selection on the camera to take still shots of moving objects and they are beautiful. The size of the Droid X seems to be a big concern. After a while, you don't notice the "big" cell phone. I can slip it in my pocket with ease; however, I prefer to use a holster. I downloaded "Opera" as a browser, and even without wifi, it is super fast. Battery...what can I say, it's a smartphone, which means it eats up battery life.

I had the Droid X, but I swapped it out for the Incredible yesterday. Definitely the right decision, the Incredible is the perfect phone for me. My Droid X had signal issues, it would drop from full 3G to nothing randomly, then take up to 5 minutes to come back. At first I exchanged it for another DX but alas, the same issues. So like I said, I exchanged it for the Incredible. HTC Sense seems to run allot smoother, the camera doesn't seem fuzzy like my DX's did. I have yet to go below full 3G signal. I had heard about all the battery life complaints, so I bought the 2100 extended battery, and it is amazing. If you don't mind the little extra bulk, get the extended battery, my Incredible lasts twice as long as my DX did.
