I've tried this on two cars where the phone is paired. In both cars, all phone numbers are visible, and the phone pushes text messages to the cars, so it's not an issue with the pairing.

IT may be an issue with the car. Not all are fully compatible, especially if your phone has the latest software, but the car doesn't.
Contact the dealer about updating software.

One car had the software updated a few months ago, and it worked for a short time.
The other car is a 2016 model, built in July. There is no update available.

Congrats on the new car. Do a Google search to see if this is a reported problem with the car or device. It is always possible the carrier update is behind. It's puzzling that you had it working on the other than it quit. I would almost suspect an update disabled the function. (Like that never happens...eeep)
