My calendar stopped sending me the pop-up notifications for my events. When I called Verizon support, they said I needed to turn the notificaitons off, recycle power on the phone and then turn them back on.
This works, but I don't understand why I need to reboot a Linux-based OS (Android) to make such a simple change.
Is this the norm and is there any way around it (and if so, what)?
Thanks/

Reboots are a common way to resolve simple issues with OS conflicts. Rebooting is just the canned response to all issues. I don't see the problem.
