I just got my Droid ERIS yesterday and have been trying to download apps ever since. Not one has successfully downloaded yet. I have service on my phone (4 bars). I'm trying to download the Pandora & Facebook for Droid apps & they both say "Starting download." How long should these apps take to download?

To start (not trying to insult, trying to help), activate the phone. If you're having problems downloading applications over the Verizon cellular network, try connecting to a Wifi network and re-downloading. If that doesn't work, try turning your phone on and off and trying Wifi/Verizon network again. If all of this has been no help, it may be time to ask a Verizon rep at your local Verizon store.

I would pull the battery and reboot thephone and try again. How long ago did you get it? It's possible it has not been fully setup yet.

My Android phone sometimes doesn't download apps and is in the stuck mode. Turning the phone off and then back on usually gets the downloads going again.
