Whenever I click on Market and click on any of the options, it loads for a few seconds and then says "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen."
I've turned it off and back on, assuming that was the problem. Nothing.
Then I did a factory reset, nothing.
It's the only thing giving me a problem on the phone. Any suggestions?
Wow. You've taken the steps I would have automatically recommended. The last thing that I would check is the cache of the Market. Which can be found in Menu>Settings>Applications>Market
Clear the cache and see if that helps. If not, then it sounds like your Eris may be defective.
I did everything I could because getting on here to ask. I hate asking for help, haha.
But I did just check the cache like you said, and I'm assuming because I did the factory reset is the reason it is already clear.
The phone was fine for months, but this morning was the first time the problem started.
I had the same problem after doing the 2.1 update...last night with 1.5 it worked fine, but now I get the same error you are.
All, try the "check-in process" if all else fails. It appears that the Market has made some changes in the last 24 hours as the last of the 1.5 phones are getting updated...
hit the "phone" button and enter the txt below and DO NOT hit send...
You should get a message that it was a success or not.
See if this helps!
And you may want to reboot afterward
I am facing the same issue. It used to work, but stopped when I updated a bunch of apps. Also, subsequently did a hard reset. Even youtube doesnt work.
Is there a solution to this?
