I've recently experienced shortened battery life (Motorola Droid 3) and noticed that when I turn on the phone (after being charged while off) it shows that the battery has been running for 6,7 or 8 hours. Wouldn't that number reset after being charged and off? Not sure what to do next…battery, charger or phone ? Any thoughts appreciated.

I completely understand how important it is to make sure your battery usage time is displaying correctly. When you charge your phone, do you charge it back to 100% before you disconnect it from the charger? With the phone powered on, can you charge to 100%, disconnect from the charger, and check how long the time on battery says?
