Does your Android have a life of its own?

My Motorola Android MaxxxHD has been experiencing the following issues:

1. It seems to be heating up significantly.  (You could cook an egg on it at times).

2. Text messages seem to be cluttered with machine language characters for no apparent reason, and on one occassion the phone attempted to call unknown persons using the same machine language; moreover, the phone could not be shut off.

3. The battery life has diminshed exponentially in the last two weeks from 3-days to 3-hours for no apparent reason.  (Apps are shut off).

Is this some kind of scheme by Verizon to force me to buy a newer phone which will be as worthless as the one I have now that I paid $700 for two years ago.  Verizon said I could trade it in for $15 towards the purchase of a new phone.  I've already been burned once, and these numbskulls think I'm dumb enough to let them burn me again.

There ought to be an FCC investigation.

Farhod,

I definitely want your device working as it should. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? Is your device still under warranty? Is there any damage to your phone?
