Does anyone know? Sim card switch.

I purchased a galaxy mini to replace my son's totally trashed Droid X.  Will I be able to just switch Sims between the two, do they have the same size sim card or will I need to purchase an adapter?

There is no such thing as a sim adapter.  The sim card is what tells the phone it has service.   If they are same size you can switch them but the new phone will come with a sim as well.   Sim cards are also free at verizon stores.   Are you talking about a SD card like a memory card?

Not SD card, no.  The Galaxy mini has no sim card and I had hoped to just switch between the two. I should probably have mentioned that the Galaxy is used and that's why it has no sim card.

The Droid X does not have a SIM card.

The droid X is a 3g phone and should not have a sim card.  The mini should come with sim preinstalled depending on when you bought it

Yes there is and they are readily available.

There are Verizon 3G phones with SIM cards. The Droid X is not one of them

I have never come accross a sim adapter?  Why would you need a adapter hwen sim cards are free?

SIM cards are free at Corporate VzW stores; retailers usually charge for them.
