I believe in the email settings on your phone, you can tell it to delete the messages off the server when you delete them on your phone.

You need to look in the settings of the email app. When setting up the email account, there is usually a spot during the incoming email settings to tell it to other delete it on the server when you delete it on the device or not to do that. On my RAZR MAXX on Ice Cream Sandwich, if I go into the Email app, hit the MENU button, and select SETTINGS, choose the account I want, scroll down to INCOMING SETTINGS, and select DELETE EMAIL FROM SERVER and the options are NEVER and WHEN I DELETE FROM INBOX.
Hope this helps.

Ditch the stock email program and use a replacement like K9 Mail instead.

I did in the other thread of yours. Take a look.
Hey, there is a learning curve with Android, no doubt about it. You are on the curve. Where is relative. Don't give up.

Another option is to set up your Yahoo account as an IMAP rather than POP account.

Thanks a lot for your help. I found sth else, where I needed to change the option on my mac. I did it, but nothing changed on my phone. Whenever I have more time I will try your idea. This is so silly to spend so much time on a phone! lol;) Time was eaier when we had "regular" phones lol Thank you!!
