Cannot hear my voice in earpiece during call since the update

Just wondering if this is an issue with the update to 2.1 or if this is an issue with my phone, but it only started happening after I updated to 2.1.

What happens is, when I am in a call, I cannot hear my voice over the ear piece, so to me, it sounds like I am talking into a dead phone.  The person I am talking to can hear me fine, and I can hear them, but it's strange talking and not hearing your voice over the earpiece...I keep asking if they are still on the line, because it sounds just like it would if I talked into a phone that wasn't turned on.

Not sure if this is a setting in the phone, or just something strange, but it wasn't like this before the upgrade.

any thoughts from anyone would be great...
