Can I buy a new device without changing my plan?

Someone else asked this question and was directed to a link that did not answer her question,  which is the same question as mine. I am eligible to upgrade my phone but I want to keep my same plan.  Please assure me I will keep my same plan as I've heard this carrier has been kicking people off their unlimited data plan.  I was  told I am grandfathered in when I purchased my Galaxy s4 and now  I want to buy the s6 but want the assurance my plan will remain the same.

Buy full price, no plan change.  Unlimited customers can now buy on device payment plan and not change plans.
