I have an LG Vortex on my account that is about a year old. No insurance on this phone. The buttons don't work on the face of the phone under the screen and the charger port doesn't seem to work either.
Do I have any options for replacing this device other than paying full retail price for a new phone? My account is not eligible for an upgrade until May of 2013, and I need a working phone BEFORE then.

You could buy a phone from someplace like ebay ... just ensure it's Verizon branded and has a clean ESN. Verizon also has a Certified Like-New Replacement Program; a limited selection of phones are available:
