I just bought the LG g-3 a few days ago and the battery is draining remarkably fast. I've shut down most of the bloatware apps that came pre installed and were running uselessly in the background, but the battery still drains really fast. Anyone got any suggestions?

Disable all of the bloatware on the phone. Set Google Play to only sync on Wifi. Set some of your other apps to only sync on Wifi. DO NOT use Verizon Backup Assistant or Cloud, Use Google to backup Contacts and one of the other Cloud Services if you must.
Typically what happens when you get a new phone is all of these apps try to phone home to update the applications, or to store data and all of this uses Data and Battery. If you install all of your music and a bunch of photos on the phone and use BUA and Cloud, then it has to sync ALL of this to the cloud.
It can take a few days for this activity to slow down a bit and almost normalize battery life.

nateball89,
This doesn't sound right for a brand new device! How quickly would you say the battery is draining? When you first got the phone, did you let the battery drain completely before charging it? If you could provide some additional details that would be helpful. Thank you.

Also uninstall all the bloatware apps you won't use as they can stay in memory in the OS system. Go with Jakeman1 and give it a few days on the shakedown cruise. Also build that battery up by doing
a full 6-8 hour charge with device in sleep mode, next run it down to about 45-50 % and then a 4-5 hour charge. After that use your device and take it down to 30%. Another 6-8 hour charge and then down to no lower then 20-25% and one more full 8 hour charge. At that point your battery will be in a normal life cycle. enjoy that phone.
