Apps won't update unless on Wifi - Galaxy S5

Up until about a week ago my phone was working fine. Then all of a sudden now most of my apps won't update unless connected to wifi!!! I don't know why the change and am very frustrated! Please help me with this as I need my apps to work when I don't have a wifi connection. Apps such as ESPN, Snapchat, some emails, Facebook, and other social media apps. I can't add any more APN and change the vzwinternet it is using or reset or anything..... HELP!!!!!

CCheck your settings in the Play store.  The default it to update over wifi.

Sorry, I meant my apps won't work, meaning update conversations,

notifications, etc... So when wifi is connected my phone blows up with

notifications but unless wifi I can't properly use my apps...

SO did you restrict them to mobile data, or turn mobile data off on the phone?  Or is data turned off on the account for some reason?

Have you tried resetting the network settings.  This will require signing back into wifi networks.

Next options:  ATT or Best Buy for tech help.
