I've been looking for the release of the 4g LTE Commando by Casio and was getting a little anxious. I see where Verizon may be stalling to sell out the 3g models, so I bought one for my daughter in hopes it would help get things going faster. I also got the Iphone 5 for my wife but I am waiting for a ruggedized smartphone from Verizon since it's the only decent service in NW Colorado. I considered a Samsung S4 Active but it's through AT&T. Actually, I was tempted to switch service because my contracts were ending. I called Verizon to ask about that model and I was recommended an S4 with a case. Not close enough. So, if we all buy the 3g Commando for our kids, like I did, maybe we can get the 4g model with a better android released sooner. C'mon Verizon! Great network but I almost switched because of your lack of a good ruggedized 4g smartphone. I think others share my thoughts.

Here is the Casio web sight for it: http://www.casiogzone.com/us/ Looks as though VZW has is here if you want to purchase it subsidized http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedP... I know you can find it elsewhere as well such as Ebay and get it with no contract.

That is for the original 3G only version.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Here is a leaked shot of the phone, and the article has a rumored release date (not that that means anything to Verizon) of July 3.
