Another feature lost in the upgrade

I lost my ability to swype in the latest upgrade to 4.4.2. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix?

Everyone has who upgraded to Kit Kat lost the swipe ability.  You can get it back by using a third party app from the play store.
