Android OS version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) available for Samsung Illusion?

An app I've used for some time has quit working. Vendor said version 4.0 of OS needed.

Can I install this upgrade?

I don't think many phones older than 4.3 will see any updates.  If it doesn't already have a KitKat 4.4 version, IDT any phone will see an update.
