Additional Data Plan Issues

I have purchased an additional data plan for 3GB on top of the one I currently have active. I have around 1GB left on the current on however when I look at the account overciew it says for the additional plan I had purchased that I only have 2GB instead of 3GB. Is this a typical issue and why doesn't it say I have 1GB with the current plan left and 3GB with the additional plan left?

When did you purchase the additional data?  If it was in the middle of a billing cycle, the data allowed will be prorated for the current cycle, and then you will get the full amount for the new billing cycle.

My guess would be that you made the purchase about 10 days into your billing cycle, resulting in the allowance being prorated for 20/30 days remaining, or 2 out of the 3 GB you expected.
