Just picked up my first android smart phone and I love it. However Verizon should be ashamed of themselves for punishing loyal customers with a $30 fee to "upgrade" . They claim it to cover the cost of "workshops".....if I want to get lessons on how to use my new phone I will pay for the class.....why should I have to pay for others that don't want learn for themselves

Most other carriers are also doing this, which does not make it right. I agree. I've had enough smartphones and am tech savvy to know what I'm doing, at least 95 percent of the time. I do not need, nor want lessons. This is one reason I probably won't be upgrading until a phone comes along which really piques my interest. Luckily, I currently have a cell phone which I think is terrific. So far, nothing out there even tickles my curiousity.
