confused about data plans

Hello,

I am looking forward to the Droid next week, but am confused about which data plan I am going to be required to get. When I look at other smartphones, I see two choices. I keep hearing about the $30 extra data plan, and hear that it is unlimited, but my choices confuse me.

My plans for the Droid include: e-mail (through google), facebook, internet, downloading of apps from android market and google maps. I do not plan to tether. Which plan will I need to add to my plan?

PDA/Smartphone EmailYou must select an option below

Email and Web for Smartphone Retail Price: $29.99

Unlimited Data Usage Retail Price: $44.99

I don't really understand the difference between the two above plans. Thanks for your help!

To put it simply:

$30 is for unlimited internet and email ($25 for internet, $5 for email)

$45 is usually for businesses that need to sync all info.

... so $30 data package.

Thanks for the info I was looking to find that out about the data plan and asked in another forum.  Guess I went to the wrong one.  This answers it.  Thanks
