I get errors on my droid 1 when trying to download certain apps from the market. The app will download and attempt to install, however it comes up with an error (installation unsuccessful error 18)!
What does this mean and what can I do..
I cached the market app
removed my battery
and attempted to use terminal eliminator which did not work FC all the time!!
Help!

A Factory Reset will have to be done on your device. Here are the steps listed below!
- From the home screen, touch the applications tab(located at the bottom of the display).
- Touch Settings.
- Touch Privacy.
- Touch Factory Data Reset.
- Touch Reset Phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern. - Touch Erase Everything.

This works for me (original Moto Droid).....
--turn phone off and then on
--go to Settings / SD card and unmount your SD card. Wait for the unmount notification.
--go to Market and My apps
--select Update All. Your Apps should now update okay.
--when finished updating, return to settings and remount your SD card.
--now you can move any applicable apps to your SD card. I use Apps2sd (app) for this.
