Help! Yesterday afternoon, my LG Ally installed the new update. Since then, Skype has not worked. I've uninstalled it and tried re-installing it by going to skype directly and using the www.skype.com/m link and I get the message "The requested item could not be found."
My husband also has an LG Ally. He installed the update yesterday as well, except his Skype is functioning fine.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem. Went to the market for apps and i am not able to even find skype anymore. Also, tried the skype webpage and it sent me the link and after clicking on the link it says not available. All of this happened after the update. Even my email from yahoo to my phone is not working anymore.

I didn't think you could skype with verizon...Can receive skype calls but unable to skype....

Application developers have the ability to "specify" what hardware / software combinations their applications can run on. Perhaps Skype needs to update the mobile app to include the Ally running the most recent Andriod builds.
I also found "https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10469/When-I-go-to-skype-com-m-or-skype-com-vzw-within-my-mobile-..." that may or may not be of any help.
