Gtalk 2nd account?

I've used gmail and gtalk for several years now, and have a few accounts.  While I can add multiple email accounts to my Droid, I seem to be stuck with my primary email for my gtalk app, which is an account I rarely use gtalk for. 

How can I reassign gtalk to another google account?  Signing out doesn't seem to do it, I can't find an option in any of the settings.  The Help file seems to imply that multiple gtalk accounts are possible, but the instructions are so vague that I can't figure it out.
