Yes, because cheating developers (most of whom are individuals doing this as a hobby) of the tiny bit of revenue they do get from selling apps is exactly the right way to encourage the development of great apps.

If you don't want to pay for apps, that's fine, download free apps and do without the premium features, you can certainly load up your phone entirely with free apps and be a very happy smartphone user.  Don't steal though, there's absolutely no reason to.

i didnt say do it for the sake of stealing but some people myself included get restless when something that should be a simple payment system rejects you over and over i was told about this site from a verizon employee when i asked about the droid2 having swype he suggested the site so when i consider the source i dont see an issue sharing the info with the public.  its no different than everyone who {edit for TOS violation} to get what what they want rather than buying another handset so dont point fingers cause like granny said theres always some pointin back at you :smileywink:

If the payment system isn't working for you, then either put money in your bank account or contact Google to troubleshoot the problem.

Either way Spotted is right: Stealing applications that these developers work insanely hard on is completely wrong. Good grief, it's bad enough we don't have *as many* apps, but it's worse when you're so cheap you won't go through the steps to buy one.

Ew.

I am having a problem buying the Screen Suite app. and I really need it.  I went to Googlemarketplace.com and set up a profile but it didn't help. I still can't buy the app.  Any more suggestions?

Someone else was having a problem just getting into the market place. It was an after effect of the 2.2 download. No fix that I know of if you already did the reset and battery. Maybe a factory reset would do the trick?

I had exactly the same issue -- tried to buy an app and got the frustrating message. I even sent Google a {word filter avoidance} message. Then after some trial & error I was able to set up my Google account on the PC first, THEN the phone automatically recognized my credit card, and the purchase went through.  It was just a case of jumping through the hoops in the right order.
