Moto z3/5G and USB tethering not supported ?

Hi,

I got my hands on Motorola z3 + moto 5G module with above unlimited plan.

I plan to use USB tethering  with my windows notebook in 5G service area.

I am not in 5G service area now, but when I try to setup USB tethering in the

z3 settings menu, I cannot select USB tethering when I have the 5G module attached.

When I remove the 5G module then USB tethering selection is enabled.

This tells me 5G speed USB tethering is not available. Need this feature enabled !

My z3 shows device is up-to-date with PDXS29.84-30-3 (as of 6/5/19)

Figured out myself.

I used the z3 USB C connector to connect to my PC. This was the problem.

When I use the 5G Moto mod USB C connector to connect to my PC. USB tethering can be enabled.
