Jetpack speed is .3 to 2.2Mbps with 5 bars in 88005 zip code. It has been slow since I arrived two days ago. Updated firmware, removed/reinserted Sim card etc. Still slower than dialup. Same configuration was getting 50 Mbps on Saturday in 78597.
different zip code means different area. speed has little to do with bars. Your new area is probably more congested. nothing you can do about that. Mobile data is a shared resource. More data being used by more people means slower speeds. Just because the speed limit is 65 doesn't mean you can do 65 during rush hour.
We want to make sure you have the best experience possible with your new Jetpack. Have you tried to use it in other locations to see how the speed is? This would include other areas of the home or business where you use it or an entirely different location.
I was able to look up the zip code for Las Cruces which does show areas of variable coverage so you may have issues with indoor service in certain locations.
I woudl encourage you to try it in other locations and let us know how it is.
