Wifi is not disconnecting it's running concurrently. Both icons are lit at
the same time.

LindsBish,
We want to ensure your phone is working properly. What model phone are you having the trouble with? You mentioned that both Wi-Fi and cellular data are enabled concurrently. Can you disable cellular data or is it not responding to you when try to turn it off?

Galaxy s5 yes I can turn data off. When I do so it goes off. However we
have four phones in the house they are all galaxy s5 two phones turn the 4G
icon off when the wifi turns on the other two phones leave the 4G icon lit
when the wifi is on the two that stay lit are my kids phones the two that
turn off are mine and my wifes. Ever since we changed to this new plan and
the new phones, we have been using a lot more data and I don't understand
why that's happening. Every time someone comes on here from Verizon all
they do is ask what make and model of the phone is no one is actually
answering the question from Verizon.

Sounds like your kids need to turn off the cellular data connection when connected to the wifi router at home. Also you should turn on the data usage option under the Settings to set a limit for how much data each phone is allowed to use.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

The phone is supposed to do that automatically. If verizon has changed
this so they can charge more data it's ridiculous.

My husband and I switched from Sprint to Verizon a few years ago when we got IPhones (4 and 4s respectively). Never an issue with data. This past May/June, we upgraded to Samsung 5s and added our son to the plan (with my old IPhone 4s). All of a sudden we are almost exceeding our 6g max. It is not our son. I checked and Verizon summary shows it is my phone that accrued so much data. Now I work Mon thru Fri and am connected to our work wifi. When I am home I am connected to our home wifi. I just don't understand how all of a sudden this is an issue. Any thoughts?

This is the same issue many are having. I see a class action suit, in the
future. Verizon has changed their data usage and not informed us.
