How to check my mobile Data speeds?

I see that the data speed on the new 24 G promotion may slow down viewing. How do I know what my current data speed is so that I can compare apples for apples?

I use an app called speed test. It will test your wifi speed as well as your phones data speed. Just be sure the one you don't want to test is off.

What 24G promotion?  I have 24 GB and there is no slowing unless I use all 24 GB. 

Unlike Tmobile, Verizon to date does not slow your regular plan data in any way or limit resolution of video.  This is true even when using freebee data when watching NFL.
