Hey guys I have a question regarding the Thunderbolt.
I am hanging in here with my LG Env Touch (LOL) , waiting for my first smartphone th ethunderbolt, I can switch on the 28th, but don't worry I got patience.
My real question is : Can I use the $30 3g data plan with the thunderbolt? I called Verizon and they said I could, but wanted to confirm again.
Thanks

No one knows. I'm guessing you'll need to get an LTE plan but no one knows the pricing scheme yet.
Ughh, that just puts me 1 step back, I love the Tbolt, and if I can't get it because I NEED a 4g plan that'll suck. They told me it was backwards compatible.

The T-Bolt will be backward compatible meaning that it will be able to access the 3G network as well as the 4G network.
What I think you're asking is can you keep your 3G plan and just upgrade your phone to the T-Bolt. No one knows for sure as Verizon hasn't said how the pricing will work exactly. The best guess is you will have to get a 4G plan (because you have a 4G phone) whether you are in a 4G network area or not. Again, this plan will allow you to access both 3G & 4G networks.
My main concern is the fact I would have to pay extra. So if it's $30, I'll be more than happy, since I am in a 4G area (Miami).
Alright, I'll just wait, let's just hope you don't so I can get the TBolt.
Thanks guys
Well, hopefully the 4G pricing plan will be the same for the phones. But you know how Sprint handled that one. Yes, the data plan is the same for 4G as 3G but........ they added a $10 4G fee.... so who knows. Maybe Verizon will surprise us..... haha!
